Lahiru Thirimanne has been named as the captain of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Board XI side that will play a three-day warm up game against the visiting India team from August 6 to 8 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Alongside Thirimanne, other Test players in the side for the match are opener Kaushal Silva, wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella and top order batsman Upul Tharanga. Kusal Perera has been included in the side as the wicketkeeper. This will be the only warm up game of the series in which India will play three Tests matches against Sri Lanka.
