The 6th 'BMW /Hyundai' Trophy, MCA 'C' division 50 over League Tournament 2017 reached its quarter-finals as the league stage of the tournament came to a close.
In the last match in the league stage, Peoples Leasing Co. scored a comfortable six wickets win over JL Morisons at St. Benedict’s College Grounds, Kotahena.
The high light in the last league game was the sparkling century scored by the PLC opening batsman, Krishan Rodrigo, who carried his bat out after scoring 108 in 87 balls, while hitting six sixes and ten fours.
Rodrigo in the process was engaged in a 158 runs stand for the 4th wicket in 128 balls with Isuru Perera (51).
Ten teams played in two groups and the first four teams of each group qualified for the elimination stage.
