MCA Cricket: MCA Veterans vs Lanka Cavaliers T20 match on Saturday

The 16th edition of the “Tyrone de Silva” Challenge Trophy, Twenty20 cricket encounter, between MCA Committee Veterans and the Lanka Cavaliers will take place this Saturday (7) at the MCA ground, commencing 10.00am.

The friendly encounter, inaugurated in 2004, had taken place continuously is hosted by the MCA.

In the previous encounter, hosted by the Lanka Cavaliers on September 16 at the Bloomfield ground. 

Lanka Cavaliers retained the trophy with a comfortable 10-wickets win.

The series tally stands still stands in tenure of MCA, 8-5, the 2006 game ended in 'tie' and the 2014 game ended in a no-result.

The four special awards on offer are for the best batsman, bowler, fielder and man-of-the-match.

Tyrone de Silva former President, MCA, the donated of the trophy will be the Chief Guest.
