Mandira Chathurangi was named the captain of the Sri Lanka team for the 8th World Youth Netball Championship which will be held in Botswana from July 8 to 16.
Kavitha Gunathilake, a player from Hillwood College Kandy has been named as the vice captain of the tour.
The Sri Lanka team will include Melani Wijesinghe, Tamara Aluwihare, Sethmi Dinushi, H.D. Hapuarachchi, Poorni Gamage, Nadee Manushika, Tharushi Ilangaratne, Sachini Hirunika and Susima Bandara.
Imesha Nirmani, Aloka Dissanayake and Rashmi Diwyanjali have been named as stand by players.
Janaki Gunasekara will coach the side while Amalka Gunathilake will be her assistant.
Jayanthi Somasekaram will be the manager while Dr. Lal Ekanayake will assist the tour party as doctor on tour.
The competition includes 20 teams, who will compete under four groups.
Sri Lanka had been drawn in Group 'A' that also includes New Zealand, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Samoa.
The Group 'B' includes Australia, South Africa, Barbados, Zimbabwe and Singapore while Group 'C' consist of Jamaica, Botswana, Cook Island, Malaysia and Uganda.
England, Fiji, Trinidad and Tobago, Wales and Granada will compete under Group 'D'.
Sri Lanka will compete against Group 'A' rivals Scotland, Northern Ireland, Samoa and New Zealand on July 8, 9, 11 and 12 respectively.
