Title holders of Dialog Rugby League Championship, Kandy Sports Club kicked off their title defence campaign in style with a comprehensive 23-6 win against a fully reformed CH and FC side at the Racecourse ground today (4).
CH gave initial scares to Kandy SC, who clinically went on to take the lead 20-3 by halftime.
Kandy scored from two tries off Danushka Ranjan and Anuruddha Wilwara and two conversions and three penalties, which were put over by Thilina Wijesinghe.
CH scored off two penalties -- both were put over by Samuel Maduwantha.
