Kiran Atapattu, the Treasurer of Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) have resigned from his post citing financial irregularities caused by certain officials of the Union. Atapattu officially tendered his resignation from the position at SLRFU last week. He has been serving the SLRFU in the same since 2009 and is also the Treasurer of the Sri Lanka Athletic Association.
