With an overall tally of 12 gold, four each of silver and bronze medals, the chefs dominated the Thurstan College Swimming Complex pool where a large number of swimming enthusiasts from different departments of the hotel competed.
The Finance Department and the Sales and Marketing teams finished at second and third overall as Kitchen’s Amanda Rodrigo and Nicole de Silva emerged Overall Champions in the Under-25 Women's and Men's categories respectively.
Finance’s Lahiru Jeewantha emerged the overall champion in the age category of 25 to 34 years while Roshan Bandaranaike won the overall championship in the Men's 35-44 years category.
Security Department’s R.M.B. Rathnayake won the championship trophy for Men in the age category of 45 years and over.
The fun-filled day was organised to give the talented swimmers of the dynamic Grand team an opportunity to shine.
