St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya beat S. de S. Jayasinghe Maha Vidyalaya by 3 wickets to win the All-Island Schools Under-17 Division II Cricket Championship in the final played at the Thurstan ground last week.
Batting first S. de. S. Jayasinghe MV were restricted to 124 and St. Sebastian's reached the winning target with three wickets to spare.
Thilanga Dilhara top scored for the losers with a timely 49 to become the top scorer of the final too.
Though the target looked easy St. Sebastian's too had to struggle for their runs as they lost seven wickets on the way.
