Fast bowler Asitha Fernando grabbed six wickets as Sri Lanka Under-19s recorded a thrilling 4-run win against the visiting Bangladesh Under-19s in the second Youth ODI played at Colts ground in Colombo on Tuesday (20). Asitha took wickets at decisive points to help his side take the 5-match Youth ODI series lead 2-0 as Sri Lanka decided to bat first. Sri Lanka were curtailed to 179 for the loss of 9 wickets and in reply Bangladesh were bowled out for 175 with 17 deliveries to spare. Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka top scored with 68 off 92 deliveries inclusive of five boundaries and two sixes. Bangladesh kept slipping and were 52 for the loss of six wickets in the 15th over but Shahanur Rahman braved for the visitors with his 72 off 123 balls in a losing cause. The third Youth ODI will be played at R. Premadasa ICS in Colombo on Thursday (22).
