Bangladesh Under-19s bounced back with a back-to-back win to beat Sri Lanka Under-19s by 60 runs and level the five-match Youth ODI series 2-2 after the fourth game played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today (24). Electing to bat first Bangladesh made 236-9 and bowled out Sri Lanka for 176 with 24 deliveries to spare. Zakir Hasan and Nazmul Shanto hit knocks of 50 runs apiece after facing 66 deliveries and 71 deliveries respectively for Bangladesh to trailed the series 1-2 prior to the fourth game played today. Hasan struck two sixes and Shanto hit four boundaries as Shahanur Rahman (42) and openers Joyraz Sheik (30) and Saif Hasan (29) made useful contributions. Left-arm spinner Duvindu Tillakaratne captured three scalps while skipper Charith Asalankna and Asitha Fernando picked two wickets each. In their run-chase Sri Lanka lost five quick wickets despite a fighting knock by Avishka Fernando who faced 55 balls to hit 37 inclusive of five boundaries. Randika Silva top scored for the hosts with an elegant 50 off 72 deliveries which included three fours while Malinga Amarasinghe hit 46 after facing 71 deliveries inclusive of three fours. Skipper Mehedy Hasan and Abdul Halim picked two wickets each. The decisive fifth and final Youth ODI will be played at the SSC ground in Colombo on Sunday (25).
