Royal College recorded a smashing 55-0 against S. Thomas' College in a Singer Schools Rugby League Championship match played at the Royal Complex today (24).
With the commanding Royal, led by Sabith Feroze, retained the Michael Gunaratne Trophy for yet another year.
The game was slow at the beginning at Royal led 10-0 at halftime, but they accelerated in the second half to reach the highest score of the series.
More importantly Royal, led by Dushant Lewke’s team set an all time high for this series beating the 52-0 score achieved few years back by Banuka Gamage’s outfit.
Royal’s 55 points came off eight tries, six conversions and a penalty.
