Kingswood College edged Wesley College 40-39 in their traditional 32nd annual encounter played for the L.E. Blaze Trophy at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy a short while ago today (22).
Kingswood, who topped the Group 'B' of Division I Segment 'B', overcame Wesley, the second seed side of Group 'B' Division I Segment 'A' in a thrilling battle that was led right throughout by the hosts.
At halftime Kingswood led 18-11.
Kingswood scored from five tries, three conversions and three penalties while Wesley fell short by a single point after scoring off five tries, four conversions and two penalties.
