The Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) revealed the semi-final lineup of all three categories of the ongoing Milo Schools Under-20 Knockout Rugby Championship today (2). Accordingly six semi-final games – two each from President’s, Premier and Chairman’s Trophy categories will be played on Sunday (5) and Monday (6). In the President’s Trophy reigning champions Isipathana College will take on Trinity College Kandy at 4.30pm on Sunday at the Royal College Sports Complex while the second game, which was originally slotted to be played on Saturday (4) between Royal College and Science College, has been rescheduled for Monday. This match will be played from 4.30pm at Havelock Park. In the Premier Trophy category, to be played at CR&FC ground in Longdon Place, Piliyandala Central will meet Lalith Athulathmudali MV at 2.45pm, followed by the second game between Mahanama College and Ananda College at 4.30pm. The Chairman’s Trophy category, which will also be played at Longdon Place will be played between Bandaranayaka MV Gampaha and Carey College at 10.15am and Veluwana MV and St. Thomas’ Cikkege Matale at 1.30pm. The finals will be played on July 11 and 12 at the Royal College Sports Complex.

The Supreme Court today refused interim relief in an application filed by President’s Counsel Senaka Walgampaya seeking an Order from the Supreme Court compelling the President to appoint judges to fill the existing vacancies in the Court Of Appeal.
The deadline for online applications to the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination has been extended until July 12, the Department of Examinations said.
