Three weightlifters – Isuru Senadheera, Bevishan Wijewickrama and Sreemali Samarakoon -- have qualified to represent Sri Lanka at the forthcoming Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa this September. Isuru Senadheera of Royal College Polonnaruwa will compete in the below 85kgs weight class as Bevishan Wijewickrama of Trinity College Kandy will contest in the below 77kgs weight class. Female athlete Sreemali Samarakoon of Habarana Central will compete in the below 48kgs weight category. These athletes are presently preparing for the mega event training under their private coaches.
