Hindu devotees across the country marked the Deepavli festival yesterday. Devotees seen taking part in religious ceremonies at the Sri Sri Ponnambalawaneswarar Devastanam Kovil, Kotahena in Colombo.
The Colombo–Kandy main road at Pahala Kadugannawa has been closed indefinitely after a deadly rockfall in the area that left six people dead and four others injured.
