Injured dolphin treated and released

An injured Spinner Dolphin that had been rescued by fishermen after washing up at Hikkaduwa beach was recently released back to sea after being treated at the Marine Conservation Center in Dodanduwa operated under the Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC). The officials said that this was the first time they carried out ex situ conservation of a dolphin and released it back to sea.
