Colombo Dockyard delivers two more Launches

Colombo Dockyard Limited (CDL) delivered two more Steel Pilot Launches to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) on August 30.

Mangala Yapa MD/CEO handed over keys to the Launches to Saliya Wickramasuriya Chairman of SLPA at a Handing Over Ceremony held at CDL premises. Capt. Nihal Keppetipola, additional Managing Director, Capt. Ravi Jayawickrama Harbour Master and many other top officials from SLPA and CDL attended the ceremony.

SLPA will use these Pilot Launches to transport Harbour Pilots between the Pilot Station and Vessels. Designed to hold a high degree of stability and comfort in all weather conditions these launches will provide a stable platform during embarking and disembarking Pilots.
