SriLankan trains more aircraft engineers for Pakistan’s Airblue
SriLankan Airlines is training yet another group of Aircraft Engineers for the Pakistani airline Airblue at its Technical Training School at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
SriLankan’s Technical Training provides training for Aircraft Engineers, Technicians, and Pilots. These already include foreign students from Pakistan, the Maldives, Oman and India, and staff of other airlines, the national airline said.
Privately owned Airblue is Pakistan’s fastest growing airline.
It now operates to nine destinations – Manchester, Dubai, and seven cities throughout Pakistan. It currently has a fleet of six Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and recently placed an order for eight more A320s. The group of six Aircraft Engineers is undergoing a 2-month training programme in engineering and maintenance aspects of the Airbus A320 family of aircraft, which includes the A319, A320, and A321. Airblue is scheduled to send yet another group of Aircraft Engineers to SriLankan for training in late March.
The present group are scheduled to complete their training at about the same time. |
