Printcare joins the telco boom

Printcare, best known as the world’s single largest supplier of customised tea tags and tea envelopes, has aggressively entered the booming telco market. The company has been making significant strides in the telephone cards and other related scratch card products, according to a company statement.

Printcare Secure Ltd which was established just two years ago to print and supply quality pre paid telephone cards and other scratch card products is riding on the continuing growth of the telecommunications markets, locally, as well as overseas.

According to Noel Hill, Managing Director of Printcare Secure, the company uses the latest printing technology, comparable to any other facility in the world. Hill, an Australian national, having had more than 20 years experience in this field, heads this specialized operation and was responsible for training a dedicated workforce locally.

A look at the company’s order books show that they supply in excess of 12 million pre paid phone cards per month to local and overseas operators. The large local customers include Dialog and Mobitel, whilst the international customers include the Millicom Group in the Far East, Loyalty Marketing in Australia which produces promotional games and TMS Global a lotteries supplier to the Asia Pacific region, the statement said.

Demonstrating its commitment to growth, the company has invested in another “complete solution” press which will essentially double the installed capacity from April 2008, bringing capacity to about 20 million cards per month. Hill says “with this investment we are staying ahead of demand and that’s the only way to sustain the high level of service we envisage giving our customers.”
