Sunil sings for ‘Katath Katath’
Sunil Malawana of 'Mala' fame released his latest song named 'Katath Katath' recently.
A picturesque video has also been done for the song and is now aired by most television stations.
His previous successful songs include 'Api Dedena' which hit music charts in 2003 following by 'Mala' which became an overnight hit which was released in 2006 and became the most played music video on most TV stations in Sri Lanka.
He also did an English song called 'Brown Eyed Girl' which was well received by musical audiences of Sri Lanka.
His brand new song 'Katath Katath' was written by Sydney Chandrasekera and musically arranged by Chandral Fonseka of Kings. According to Sunil he has used violins, Saxophones and distorted guitar for this song, which is on a reggae beat. Sunil mentioned that he has not used this type of heavy instruments for his previous songs. Sunil's style of singing appeals more towards the younger generation.
A good guitarist as well, but now he is better known for his singing. Being a perfectionist he takes a lot of trouble in whatever he does. He plans to release a Video/DVD comprising of 10 of his music videos by the end of this year.
A multi talented personality, Sunil does music only as a hobby and is a simple person. He is a well known, respected and a professional figure in the Freight, Shipping and the Aviation industry in Sri Lanka. |
