Denon DJ Championship, the biggest DJ competition of the country, will come alive with Denon, the professional DJ equipment, from May 1 through to June.
The Denon DJ Championship will consist of two categories- Professional and Amateur. The criteria for the professional category three to four years experience in the field of DJing and tale and the overall judging criteria divided into the categorize such technicality (Sound quality, knowledge), Creativity (Music, Selection) Crowd control, Voice Skills), Personality stage presence, dress code and level confidence.
Sunil Malawana of 'Mala' fame released his latest song named 'Katath Katath' recently.A picturesque video has also been done for the song and is now aired by most television stations. His previous successful songs include 'Api Dedena' which hit music charts in 2003 following by 'Mala' which became an overnight hit which was released in 2006 and became the most played music video on most TV stations in Sri Lanka.
Well known dancing guru, Miranda Hemalatha has initiated another worthy cause with 'Diri Daru Piyasa' a fine art and vocational training centre for differently abled children.
Foundation stone will be laid for the building, a residential institute for down syndrome, differently abled and slow learning children at River Road, Kindelpitiya on April 21, 2008.
