Amarasinghe, Watawala on Lake House Printers board

Lake House Printers and Publishers Ltd has appointed E.F.G Amarasinghe and Lakshman R Watawala as independent directors to their Board with effect from June 1.
They will also serve as members of the Audit and remuneration Committees, the company said, adding that the appointments were made in line with mandatory corporate governance rules introduced by the Colombo Stock Exchange
Mr. Amarasinghe has served as the Director General and CEO of Employers Federation of Ceylon from 1990-2000, and as Senior Employer Specialist, ILO South East Asian Region, Bangkok. He is currently an independent director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committees of John Keells.
Prof. Watawala is a former Chairman and Director General of the Board of Investmen and former Chairman of the People’s Bank. Currently he is on the directorate of Richard Peiris & Co.Ltd among other companies. |
