Dialog cuts call charges

Four and a half million Dialog GSM customers stand to benefit from a new offer offered by the company to its many customers, slashing mobile phone tariffs "to ensure customers to get the best deals on call charges", a press release from Dialog said.

The discount under what is called the Lifetime Discount Programme provides a 25% discount for a call on the third minute, and a 50% discount for all outgoing call charges from the third minute onwards. The offers are valid during the customer's lifetime.

The customers are to sign up for an all-inclusive One-Time subscription, at just Rs. 477 to be entitled for the new Discount Programme and the payment of Rs. 477 would be charged to your monthly bill, or debited from your prepaid credit balance. Starting on August 1, all Dialog customers of 4.5 million post-paid and pre-paid, would be entitled for the discount.

Such a programme has been introduced for the first time in Sri Lanka. The service is activated via an SMS and the customers are to type DISCOUNT and SMS it to 678 to activate the Lifetime Discount, the release said.

"From August 1 onwards, all Dialog packages would come under a new tariff platform that entitles the entire Dialog customer base a range of unbeatable discount offers", the company said.
