D.S. Senanayake College settled for a draw against S. Thomas’ in their U19 inter-school cricket encounter concluded at Mt Lavinia yesterday. DSS chasing a target of 155 for victory after being in a precarious position of 39 for 6 managed to end the day on 80 for 7.
Earlier in day the Thomians resuming from their second innings on 6 for 2 went on to make 164 for 8 before declaring thanks to a 65 run stand for the third between Fahim Saleem who top scored with 49 and skipper Ravindrarajah Nirushan.
