Thinking of all the places at school,
Where delightful moments were many,
I cannot recall a lovelier place,
Than the library at school.
With cupboards and racks all filled with books,
And magazines of all kind,
Long brown tables and chairs to suit,
All kept neatly in line.
When I take off my shoes and enter this room,
I find it in pin-drop silence,
For the slightest noise or
disturbance,
Will make the librarian scowl.
I cheerfully climb the
staircase,
And find myself a seat,
To spend the happiest moments at school,
Reading in peace. |
