'Flavours of India'- a food festival designed to showcase the many tastes and flavours of India will be held from the October 14 to 26.
From Masala Dosa to Laccha Paratha…from Chettinad Chicken to Tandoori Chicken…from Rajasthani Lal Maas to Kashmiri Roganjosh…from Goan Fish Curry to Macchi Amritsari… the taste and flavours of Indian cuisine is as vast and varied as the land of its origin.
Cuisine from each region of India is unique and completely unlike each other. The differences evolve from many factors like base ingredients (type of meat/vegetables), methods of cooking, spices and other flavouring ingredients that are used for marinating and cooking these dishes.
Each region/state in India typically uses the produce that is locally available and hence brings about the distinct and unique taste/flavours.
Chef Puran, who hails from Lucknow, also known as the land of Nawabs and Kebabs, is a trained expert in various facets of Indian cuisine owing in no small measure, to his vast experience in many regions of India.
Moghlai, Awadhi, Chettinad, Punjabi, Rajasthani his repertoire is indeed as fascinating as the taste of his creations.
