The Presidential Commission on Failed Finance Companies chaired by retired Supreme Court Judge Priyantha Perera is awaiting a date to hand over its report to the President and Parliament.
The Commission which had been appointed to investigate failed finance companies and those who were responsible for its failure was to also submit its recommendations for the prevention of such occurrences in the future. Speaking to The Sunday Times, Commission Secretary Ms. J.A.N.
Dissanayake said that details of the report were still unavailable to the public as the President was still to request the report.
She said that after the report is handed over to the President it will thereafter be submitted to Parliament. |
