Vil Uyana, a popular tourist destination in Sigiriya owned by the Jetwing Group, is celebrating its second anniversary with a quiet bash.
Located within five kilometres of probably the 8th wonder of the world – Sigiriya, Jetwing Vil Uyana has grown popular as a lifestyle resort. With dwellings tastefully designed boasting of space as its prime characteristic of luxury, these are located on four distinguished habitats; namely Paddy, Marsh, Water and Forest, the company said in a press release.
During this promotional period there are a host of activities that guests can indulge in while staying at Jetwing Vil Uyana. The Elephant Gathering, which takes place every year during the months of August, September and October at the Minneriya National Park is said to be still on. A total of three hundred elephants can still be spotted gathering at the receding shores of the Minneriya tank. In addition to this, Jetwing Vil Uyana has started their paddy cultivation for the Maha Season. A portion of the 24 acre land has been allocated to re-grow paddy using traditional methods of farming and harvesting, the release said. |
