Java Sri Lanka 2009 - National software education and trade exhibition
The first-ever Software Exhibition to be held in Sri Lanka, the National Software Exhibition and Conference will be held on the 16th, 17th and 18th of January 2009 at BMICH.
The MDG Sri Lanka movement organizes this grand event, in accordance with the focus of the Government, especially the declaration of the Year 2009 as the Year of ICT & English by H.E the President Mahinda Rajapaksha at the 2009 National Budget Speech at the Parliament.
The theme of the Annual Conference and Exhibition for year 2009 is "Java Technology to build the Nation for the Knowledge Economy". This exhibition is organized, having the main target of promoting ICT in general, and Java in particular, in Sri Lanka, positioning Sri Lanka as one of the leading nations empowered through Java Technology, by producing five hundred thousand Java Programmers to the Java software industry, contributing to the national economy by making it the 3rd foreign exchange generator of the country by the year of 2020. |
