The second Annual General Meeting of Forum CSA, the alumni of the City School of Architecture was held at Hotel Taj Samudra on January 15. Past President architect Dudley Waas was felicitated for his contributions to the field of architecture as well as architectural education and was accorded the title of “Honorary Patron of Forum CSA”, the highest accolade offered by the alumni.
Several others were also felicitated for outstanding achievements. Indika Samarasinghe, the architect responsible for the Green Factory, Brandix Casual Wear Ltd., Seeduwa that won the World’s First Leeds Certification Platiinum Award and Ruchira Wickremasinghe who won the South Asian Architects’ Commendation Award 2007 for the Thilanka Resort and Spa in Dambulla were among those felicitated.
The new Forum CSA Committee for 2009/2010 was also inducted at Thursday’s AGM. Architect Manjula Wijeratne took over duties as the new President from Immediate Past President architect Nela De Zoysa.
