‘Alai’ chosen to ‘Aloha Accolade Award’

The short film ‘Alai’ (The Wave) has been selected to receive the Aloha Accolade Award for Excellence in Filmmaking at the 2009 Honolulu International Film Festival.

Mr. Rajsudan, the Director of the film has been invited to accept the award in person at the Closing Night Awards Ceremony to be held on March 8 at the beautiful and historic Hawaii Theatre in the Heart of Honolulu.

The short film ‘Alai’ has been selected from among the very best of the several hundred of films submitted from over 30 countries around the world. ‘Alai’ a story based on an incident connected to a little child, who had lost his mother during the Tsunami Disaster and mental agony of the little child.

This is the first time a Sri Lanka produced Tamil film has won this award. The Director of his film Rajsudan has worked as Assistan and Co-Director for the films Prashanth acted Jai and Shock films. He is also an approved member of Tamil Nadu Film Director Association.
