Solace in a language they understand

A tear trickled from the eyes of a Tamil woman as she listened to a sermon delivered in Tamil by a Buddhist monk. The group of people said they had never seen a Buddhist monk in the flesh.
The Mahanayake of the Asgiriya Chapter Ven. Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Thera, along with Anunayake Ven. Galagama Aththadassi Thera and Ven. Dematuluwe Sumangala Thera visited refugee camps in Vavuniya where they provided the inmates with food, clothes and other essential items.
Ven. Sumangala Thera who is able to recite gatha in Tamil spoke to some of the refugees at Menik Farm.
