Founded in 1884, Ohio Northern University's College of Pharmacy has had the privilege to graduate over 7,000 pharmacists during its 124-year history. The R. H. Raabe College of Pharmacy is distinctive among other colleges of pharmacy in the U.S.A. as it integrates a comprehensive foundation in the pharmaceutical sciences and the practice of pharmacy along with a strong liberal arts curriculum. One of the unique characteristics of the program is that students enter the Doctor of Pharmacy program directly out of high school. The approximately 2,400 square-foot laboratory is located on the first floor of the Raabe College of Pharmacy. The center features six state-of-the -art compound/counseling pods with portable OTC simulation stations and is designed so that professors can effectively assess students and easily provide them feedback to improve their skills.

Due to the strategic linkage between pharmacy practice and drug information, the skills center and lab are connected to the current Drug Information Center. "The skills center and lab allows our faculty to work closely with students in training them for the real life practice situations of today and the future" comments Dr. Donnie Sullivan, professor and chair of The Department of Pharmacy Practice.
