I got a birthday present,
That one should never miss,
It was a colourful umbrella,
Oh, make me go out with it,
I wished.

It has all the colours of the rainbow,
In squares and circles all a glow,
And it's a very special one,
For it glitters in the sun.

I always wish it's a rainy day,
So I can show its lovely way,
And if it's sunny it's not too bad,
For its glitter makes me glad.

Oh! What beauty this umbrella has,
I wonder who got this lovely idea,
Of making such a lovely one,
That also glitters in the sun.
