The CFPS Academy of Legal Studies is part of the CENTRE FOR PROFESSIONAL STUDIES (CFPS), Colombo, which has been the leading institution preparing entrants to Sri Lanka Law College for the last 18 years. Since 1991 over 2,500 CFPS students have entered Sri Lanka Law College and have become members of Sri Lanka's legal profession and during the last 5 years over 90% of the entrants to Law College have been students of this institution. In May 2008 the CFPS commenced lectures for their 2nd intake of students for the London LL.B Course.

In May /June 2008 CFPS of the 1st intake sat the intermediate examination (1st year) of the University of London. Since several students passed the intermediate examination the CFPS commenced classes for the 2nd year exams of the London LL.B in October 2008.

In May -June 2009 the CFPS students sat the 1st and 2nd year LL.B exams of the University of London. These students are awaiting their results. Lectures for the 3rd intake of students will commence on July 12 2009 at the new CFPS Campus at 104, Havelock Road, Colombo 05.

In the same manner as their Law Entrance courses the CFPS London LL.B course too has become very popular among students. The CFPS is the undisputed market leader in legal education in the country.
