85% of resources in computer networks idle

There is often in the region of 85% of resources idling in 'distributed computer capacity', according to Sivakumar Nallathamby, Country Manager - Systems and Technology Group, IBM Sri Lanka.

This emerged recently at a networking event presented by KBSL Information Technology for Sri Lankan corporates to make them aware of the products offered by business partner IBM. Titled 'Peace of Mind', the event also featured case studies presented by two key customers, National Savings Bank and Lanka Orix Leasing Company, referencing how KBSL and IBM helped them solve capacity problems they were faced with.
