The new Deputy Media Minister Mervyn Silva at the President’s feet when the new deputy ministers gathered for a picture with the head of state after they were sworn in on Friday. Mr. Silva did not want to sit on the seat next to the president as it was allocated for the Prime Minister. So he resorted to the next option of sitting next to the President, but at his feet.

It had rained the previous days and both the Kaudulla and Minneriya National Parks that we had planned to visit are under water. It was good to discover that we could drive through another wild life park during our short stay at Habarana.
