‘Challenges’ challenge to youth

Veteran director Udayakantha Warnasuriya’s latest cinematic creation ‘Challenges’ is now being screen in the EAP circuit. while film analysts believe it would have the ability to attract a large number of filmgoers to the theatres. 

The movie ‘Challenges’ that introduces a large number of new faces including lead actress Sheshadrie, The film is scripted and edited in a fast-paced style woven around an entertaining storyline which not only caters to the youth but also to the entire family.

Promising young actress Sheshadri makes her film debut bringing new hope and she is cast opposite equally gifted actors Roshan Ranawana and Pubudu Chathuranga apart from seniors like Lucky Dias and Vasanthi Chathurani.

‘I was so fortunate to get a main role in my debut film. I think I have given my best to the movie. It was some what easy to get into the character of ‘Sharanya’ as it is quite similar to my real life- naughty and mischievous, apart from the freedom she enjoys. It was an experience too to work with Roshan and Pubudu and other veterans’ said Sheshadrie Priyasad, daughter of the veteran film personality Dinesh Priyasad.

‘Though this is my eighth film, I was to face a real challenge to act in a entire a different character. I was known as innocent heartthrob in other films but I have to act quite a different role here. I think I have answered the challenge and the most important is this film is for family, though it has a young theme’ Roshan expressed his views.

Pubudu plays a real life style mischievous character against Sheshadri in his tenth film. ‘It was interesting to and at the same time experiencing the different role in this film. I think I love the character I was given and simply transformed in to this playful, mischievous youth character’ said Pubudu.
