PM woos the US
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe left early yesterday for the United States where he will have a high profile meeting with President George W. Bush and others including congressional leaders.

While discussions will cover the ceasefire and the peace process the focus would be on the economy with trade and investment agreements likely to be signed, an official said.

The Prime Minister is also expected to speak at the Heritage Foundation, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and the National Press Club.
