Why not in Kandy
Four teams from Kandy St. Anthony's, Kingswood, Dharmaraja and St. Sylvester's along with Wesley and table leaders Isipatana are playing in one group - in the Schools Rugby tournament.

All the Kandy Schools had to wend their way to play Isipatana in Colombo. According to school sources in Kandy, Isipatana are great crowd pullers wherever they play. It should have been better if the organisers of this tournament (schools) could have fixed one of these games to be played in Kandy. The outcome was secondary. In turn it could have given the school concerned to raise funds to further development of the sport. \

The schools section should give serious thought to this effect when drawing the fixtures in the future. - (B.W.)
