House of Fashions raided – again!

Popular garment store “House of Fashions” was raided once again for selling counterfeit garments and accessories.

A private plaint was filed by ‘Louis Vuitton Malletier’ and ‘KENZO’ members of the LVMH Fashion Group in France, against House of Fashions Garments (Pvt) Ltd and its Directors Bandula and Nilamani Jayawardena. Acting on a search warrant issued by Mount Lavinia magistrate Vikum Kaluaratchchi, the Criminal Investigations Department raided the store and seized several counterfeit garments and leather belts, bags, purses and luggage bearing the Louis Vuitton (LV) trademarks, and also recovered 152 counterfeit men's shirts bearing the KENZO label.

Some of the items that were seized by the CID last Friday from the popular garment store, KENZO shirts.

The seized goods were produced in the Mt-Lavinia Magistrates Court last Friday and will remain till the case is called tomorrow. Private plaints were filed by Sudath Perera Associates, the legal representatives in Sri Lanka for the LVMH Fashion Group that owns the ‘Louis Vuitton’ and ‘KENZO’ brands.
