Multilac marks 25th anniversary by helping paint 250 places of religious worship

Multilac Paints, Sri Lanka’s largest exporter of paints, celebrated its 25th anniversary recently by contributing towards the painting of over 250 different places of religious worship across the country.

Deputy General Manager Sales Ramesh Perera said paint is being supplied through the company’s 125 Colour Banks island wide at a specially reduced price thus enabling the owner of each Colour Bank to contribute towards the painting of the closest place of religious worship.

Together with this will be a second place of worship, always of a different religion. “When this program nears completion by the end of 2006, we expect to have 250+ places of religious worship all over Sri Lanka, shining bright with Multilac paints,” Perera added, according to a company statement.

At Multilac, the ‘national feeling’ is deeply rooted at all levels, from the top management to the minor employees.

They all represent the different ethnic communities in Sri Lanka and work hand in hand towards making great strides and achieving excellence in what they do. “The unity among our employees can easily be a role model for all Sri Lankans", says the company’s most senior employee, W.A. Siripala, who has seen the company grow over a quarter century.
