Hackers at
your service |
VERTISTMENTS |
By Marisa de Silva |
Easily one of the most
misunderstood and misconstrued words in the English language,
it has driven fear into governments, created quite a sensation
with the media, been a movie-maker’s dream and been
the cause of much excitement and curiosity among youth!
What is this ‘all powerful,’ elusive word
you ask…why it's H-A-C-K-E-R-S of course! The first
thought that instantaneously pops into my mind whenever
I hear the word ‘hacker’ – is that of
Stanley Jobson (Hugh Jackman), in the movie Swordfish. |

The newly established past Benedictine
Choral outfit, Voice.Print is all set to produce Up Where
We Belong – a choral concert that will include a
variety of music encompassing the 70s, 80s and 90s right
through to contemporary styles. |

Into wild,
wild Africa |
N. Dilshath Banu |
The drum beat… noises of folk
songs and dances… all amidst the thick green jungles
packed with wildlife, yet to be discovered. This is what
comes to our mind when we talk of Africa. Jehan Nalin
Goonaratne of S. Thomas’ College and Vinod Malwatte
of Royal College had the chance to be in the ‘International
Wilderness Expedition 2006,’ which took them on
an adventure to South Africa in August. |
