Minute for peace

As the UN celebrates September 21 as World Peace Day, the Brahma Kumaris, an organization committed to bringing peace to the world will launch its 'Just a Minute' programme. The 'Just a Minute' programme is a worldwide initiative dedicated to enjoying the bliss of peace for just a minute at regular intervals, to promote personal and global change through the power of a peaceful and silent mind.

The idea of 'Just a Minute' being launched in the UK at the Wembley Arena on September 17 is to create a ripple effect across the planet through the use of multi-media technology, theatre, music and high-speed connections which will serve as a constant reminder to people that they can bring about a new future within themselves.

In Sri Lanka, the Brahma Kumaris invite the public to be in silence for just a minute every hour today in support of this programme. For more details call 011-2717572.
