Seagull has flown - Letter

All Sri Lankans are classic dupes -- anything for a quick buck. Always looking for the non-existent 'short cut' and how to bend the rules, if not to ignore the rules completely. Always expecting handouts and subsidies from the government or the western taxpayers (which is fast drying up). Always expecting high living standards whilst having the highest number of holidays in the world and voting for war. We want the living standards of Singapore whilst doing 5% of the work Singaporeans do. What better place is there in the world for crooks and scammers to set up business, often with the backing of top people? Goldquest, Seagull, Pramuka Bank et al are only the beginnings. More crooks will come and more gullible Sri Lankans will be suckered. It will go on until we get out of the mentality of living on THE HANDOUT ....

People who submitted their 'homework' of excel sheets are wondering what happened to all that stuff they submitted.

I'll bet the scammers must have laughed and just pressed the delete button every time they received an 'upload' of the useless data. One is tempted to ask, "What on earth were the subscribers thinking?", except that they were not thinking at all.
