Four teams sail into soccer second round

Badulla Football League has found four teams to play in the second round of the “B” division tournament scheduled to be conducted in November this year.

Sixteen teams participated under four groups at this division tournament organized by the Badulla Football League.

Veterans Sports Club beat Same Blood Sports Club by 2 goals to 1 at the last encounter to qualify for the final rounds of this tournament last Thursday.

Uva College, Uva Rangers Sports Club and Al Adhan Sports Club are the other three teams, which had qualified for the second round of this tournament.

In another “A” division encounter played on Friday 27 at the same venue Comrades S.C. trounced Al Adhan S.C. by 6 goals to nil, played at the same venue.

Comrades S.C. were awarded three penalties at this encounter for the robust tactics adopted by Al Adhan S.C. where their custodian was shown a Red Card. Supun Rajapakse officiated.
