‘Seashells’: Of sea, sand and sunset

The fifth Jetwing - TV Times Vacation Competition' feature Seashells Hotel in Negombo.

Seashell Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the Jetwing chain.

Seashell Hotel has just opened after a 30 million Rupee refurbishment, which includes swimming pool, main restaurant reception and other public areas.

Apart from the main bar area, most popular place is pool bar.

Since the hotel goes with the club concept, 'all inclusive package' has become the major attraction.

‘It has all food and beverage facility except wines at any time of the day’ Ravi said. Evening programmes with live entertainment is another attraction. A saxophonist, pianist, guitarist and an Oriental performing troupe share the week's entertainment programme.

‘Theme nights too is popular as guests always want to experience different cuisine. Seafood night is the biggest attraction' he added.

TV in the main bar, IDD facilities, e-mail and internet facilities, car rental are some of the other facilities available at the hotel
Muthurajawela, a boat ride through marsh and narrowing waterways, Divin, Kudapaduwa ship wreck, Duwa coral reef, Ula Gala coral reef, Katuneriya-old Royal Air Force aircraft, Negombo Dutch Fort and Churches are some of the day excursions organized by the hotel.
