Elvis fan clubs

Jayaratne Perera, President of the Elvis Presley Fan Club........

The refers to the letter sent by one Mr. Rohan de Silva which appeared on 'Readers' Corner' page in TV Times of 24-28 September 2006 issue. He has asked for the address of the local Jim Reeves ("The Greatest Sound in Country Pop") and Elvis Presley ("Artiste of the Century") Fan Clubs.

Therefore we shall be very grateful if you could mention the address of the fan clubs of these two legendary singers, as given below.

Also it will be very beneficial to many others readers of your esteemed paper (of which I have never missed a single issue since its inception), if you could mention that there are three other fan clubs also incorporated in it. They are the Fan Clubs of Ricky Nelson ("Teen Idol of the Century"), Hank Snow ("The singing Ranger") and Abba ("The Ultimate Pop Group"). As you can see, our fan club represents some of the greatest musical giants the world has ever known whose music has stood the test of time winning new generations of fans over the years.

This Fan Club is officially recognized by their parent bodies in America, and is a non-profit voluntary organization which has been in operation in Sri Lanka for over 45 years promoting the music of these legendary artistes who have made music history in many areas in the entertainment field. Thank you again for the interest shown in our fan clubs.
