Oval ball goes to Moneragala

Students in Moneragala District were given the opportunity of participating in Rugby Under the Uva Province Rugby Football Development Programme 2006/08. Incidentally this is the first time students in Moneragala District had seen the Rugger ball.Regional Development Officer T. Denzil Darling along with Technical Officer Basil Rodrigo conducted a Zonal Rugby Football Train the Trainer Programme organized by the Assistant Education Director Moneragala Zone W.M.N. Bandara. Well over 100 students and Eight Teachers from Lunugala Yoda Wewa M.V., Galabedda M.V., Dambagahawela MMV, Maligatenna M.V., Madiriya Rajayananda M.V., Royal M.V., Wedikumbura M.V., and Rajakiya National School participated at this programme. -VTR
