Who is guilty?  
On 16th January 2007 the disciplinary committee of the SAG Medical Unit was scheduled to come out with the verdict of the findings on charges levelled against Lankan sprinter Jani Chathurangi who tested positive of taking the performance enhancing drug Nandrolene when she was tested after her ‘silver’ wining performance at the Games in August.
 
Rugby back to the old format
The Caltex ‘A’ Division rugby tournament will revert back to its original format with all the teams competing in a league format as opposed to the two tier structure which was used last year. The only team that has not confirmed their participation is the combined Dimbulla-Dickoya outfit. The league tournament will begin in the last week of April. This is just one of the changes that has come in to effect following the change in administration of the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union.
 
Royal’s second coming
A match saving stand of 132 for the third wicket between Bhanuka Rajapakse (72) and skipper Haroon Mowjood (65) saw Royal to safety in their Elephant Lemonade inter-school cricket encounter against St Joseph’s concluded at Darley Road yesterday. The Royalists who were back to the wall at the end of the first day’s play on 88 for 5 after the Josephians had declared their innings on 315 for 7 had a daunting task of saving the game when play began yesterday morning.
 
Saram cracks second ton

Indika de Saram cracked his second ton of the ongoing Sirasa Premier League cricket tournament when he slammed a 123 which had eight boundaries and seven towering sixes helping Ragama CC to amass a massive 402 for 9 declared in their encounter played at the Panadura Esplanade.
